So, it's been about 6 weeks since everything changed in my own personal part of the world, but I know that time frame is different all over...

I have been meaning to share about my own personal yoga practice for QUITE some time, had grand ideas of blogging every time I try a new video or re-visit an old one, have even taken notes in anticipation...


but life. You know...that thing that happens in between sleeps? 

And I may NEVER get that part of the blog going. Or maybe I will. One thing has been certain during this time of uncertainty...


I have no idea what the future holds. 
(But I do know Who holds it! and thanks be to God for that!)


ANYWAY.

Rather than going back and catching up on 3-thousand & 7 things in this post, I am going to start with...

(and if we don't actually "meet" on facebook, I will surely post links or ways there of getting to where we are "meeting"! 


I am working very hard to create online content for you in the areas of Yoga classes and tips, Guided meditation and tips, Health tips, Biblical Encouragement, and funny or fun things!

Just because sometimes we can't meet in person, does not mean we cannot practice together! 


As this post is being written during the COVID-19 crisis, allow me to remind you that we truly are all in this together!  And I would love to practice with you, right in your own hom...

UPDATE DUE TO COVID-19 CRISIS:

We are currently not meeting in-person for classes until the quarantine/shelter...


This series was designed primarily for those folks who have been wanting to try yoga, especially Christ-focused styles, but have been intimidated by the unknown of "what will happen when I show up? Will I be the only newbie? Will I feel silly or inept or ____?"

(Not just for beginners, but also good for anyone wanting to hone in on basics as well as teachers-in-training*)...



I totally get it. I do. And this series is born out of my desire to help those who have been telling me for YEARS that they want to get to a class, but something always gets in the way (which is especially easy if you have hesitations born out of subconscious "fear" or intimidation)---
and until you experience it for yourself, it is easy to let something like this slide, ri...

I have been asked this many times:

"can I lose weight doing yoga?"

Short answer is yes. Absolutely. 

In fact, I lost about 6 lbs in a month or so when I first started way back in the early 2000's...and for someone who is only 5'1.5", that is LOT!

Like, A. LOT. A LOT ALOT A LOT.

But guess what...there are things you need to consider.

1-How a yoga practice can help you "lay aside the weight" (Hebrews 12:1)

2-Consistency/Frequency of Practice

3-Type or Style of Yoga being practiced

4-The season YOU are currently in, and how it is affecting you and how God created YOU

First things first:


One of the amazing things about yoga---and right now I am referring to the physical practice or Asana practice of yoga, not the other limbs of...

It's just one of those things that needs to be shared every now and again. I mean, you don't know unless someone shares with you, right? I certainly didn't when I started my yoga practice. Once in awhile, it deserves a re-share.

Here is a list of things that I find important to practice in your public yoga practice:

1. Be on time, which really means, be 5 to 10 minutes early. This gives you time to be settled and quiet, ready to focus, as well as helping you not to disturb someone else's pre-class quiet time. We are a community, after all. ❤ besides- it is never fun being the one rushing around stressed while everyone else is already zenning out...

2. That getting settled/quiet time? That means gathering all props you might need & having...

(cuz no one would show up on Thursday the 14th, Valentine's night, right?),
Thursday the 21st.
