So, it's been about 6 weeks since everything changed in my own personal part of the world, but I know that time frame is different all over...
I have been meaning to share about my own personal yoga practice for QUITE some time, had grand ideas of blogging every time I try a new video or re-visit an old one, have even taken notes in anticipation...
but life. You know...that thing that happens in between sleeps? And I may NEVER get that part of the blog going. Or maybe I wi

Go deeper into intimacy with God and with yourself. Feel better in your body. Take care of your temple. Breathe in LIFE, and Joy, and praising with our minds, our breath, our movement.
I have been asked this many times: "can I lose weight doing yoga?"
Short answer is yes. Absolutely. In fact, I lost about 6 lbs in a month or so when I first started way back in the early 2000's...and for someone who is only 5'1.5", that is LOT! Like, A. LOT. A LOT ALOT A LOT. (see p.s. at the bottom...)
But guess what...there are things you need to consider. 1-How a yoga practice can help you "lay aside the weight" (Hebrews 12:1) 2-Consistency/Frequency of Practice 3-Type
It's just one of those things that needs to be shared every now and again. I mean, you don't know unless someone shares with you, right? I certainly didn't when I started my yoga practice. Once in awhile, it deserves a re-share.
Here is a list of things that I find important to practice in your public yoga practice:

Happy Labor Day Weekend, ever'body!!!
In one of my devotional studies this year, God revealed to me that our true "labor" should be laboring to enter into His rest. The rest that He provided through the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. And did you know that before Jesus went to the Cross, He bequeathed to you and I who follow and believe Him, HIS Shalom? Shalom in Hebrew is not just a greeting like Ciao, or Aloha...its meaning goes deeper. It means Welfare/Well-being, He
Well, here we are nearing the end of August---dog days of summer, Back to School, and all of that! I don't know if you are feeling it or not, but it certainly does seem like the world goes on high speed at the same time as what we call "summer" seems to be winding down... know what I mean? So in keeping with my current favorite word "SIMPLICITY", I am keeping this note as short and to the point as possible! (Gosh---it's not just a word. It is my current MANTRA!)
